Calling all junior scientists! Hackett Elementary is hosting a Science Fair on Tuesday, February 10th! This event is being hosted by the school and is open to any student interested in submitting an entry in Grades 1-5!
How will the Science Fair Work?
Students can choose ANY science topic they are interested in (like volcanoes, the water cycle, or how mold grows).
Team Size: Projects can be done alone or in pairs (maximum of 2 students).
Focus: The main goal is for the student(s) to be able to speak with passion and knowledge about their project’s science and results.
Judging: Winners will be chosen in two groups: Grades 1–2 and Grades 3–5.
What are the ground rules?
For safety and school policy, projects cannot involve:
Fire or Explosions
Live Animals or Insects
Any kind of loose food or materials that could create a mess or attract pests.
Parent Note: Please ensure minimal parental involvement. This is a project for only the student scientists!
