Students will begin borrowing books from the school library beginning the week of October 20, 2025.
We are so excited for the new stories and knowledge your child will discover! To make this program successful for everyone, we kindly ask for your partnership in helping your child become a responsible library user.
Please help your child remember to keep their library books in a safe, designated place at home (away from pets, food, and younger siblings). Our books are precious learning resources for all students, and we encourage gentle handling to ensure they stay in good condition and avoid accidental damage or loss.
If a book is lost or significantly damaged, please contact Lindsay Lux (limbrown@philasd.org) so we can discuss replacement options.
Please note: Kindergarteners will be able to borrow books from the library, but will not yet be bringing them home. We are going to practice responsible borrowing for the first few weeks and will notify families once they are ready to be taken home.
Loan Period
Each book will be checked out for one week.
Due Date
Books will be due back to the library on the same day the student has their scheduled computer class. This helps establish an easy-to-remember routine for returning materials.
